Final Fantasy VIII will take a slightly different approach to roleplaying than the previous game. In FF8, you control the lives of two separate people- Squall Leonhart and Laguna Loire. Each has their own story, but how do they connect? Well, you'll have to find out when Square releases it in the not-too-distant future. And there's no more cutesy versions of your characters when you walk around, either. The people in FF8 will be, um, correctly proportioned to give the game a more serious feel.
